Why do girls and boys become moody?
During adolescence, as girls and boys become self-conscious and more able to analyze everything, they are likely to have stronger reaction to things. Things to which they didn’t pay too much attention before suddenly seem wrong, and this makes them angry, or depressed. They develop new relationships, with people of their own age group. As they start bonding together into an age group, they put one another under a lot of pressure to conform, as a larger group tries to “discipline” a single non-conforming adolescent. So there are a lot of emotional problems to be faced alone.
