Why Do Ghost Movies Scare the Heck Out of Us?
Ghost movies have been around for almost one hundred years at this point. Many will refuse to watch ghost movies because of an uncontrollable fear that they have about the genre. Why do ghost movies scare so many people so much? Necrophobia: Necrophobia is the fear of the dead. Since ghosts are a remnant of the dead, and are one of the closest associations that people have with the dead, many fear ghost movies. These movies incite a deep fear that almost all of us have. We do not want to have any contact with anyone who has passed away from this life.
