Why do gay people cross-dress and have “drag shows”?
Each gay person has a right to express themselves as they see fit, some are overtly gay that like to emulate women, some men want to be women, some men want to be men, we have a wide array within the community. And you should know better, it’s about tolerance and understanding, you don’t like people questioning you for your sexual preference, so don’t come into the LBGT community hating on others who choose to conduct themselves in a way that you yourself choose not to.
OK – you are talking about 3 different things here: Homosexuality – being sexually attracted to a person of the same gender Transvesticism – being sexually aroused by dressing as a person of the opposite gender Transgendered – being in the body of one gender but having the knowledge that or feeling like you are the other gender They are NOT the same thing, although some people may be affected by both. I know someone who is bisexual and transgendered. What does it matter, you ask? S/He feels that s/he should be in a female body, but is biologically a male. That has nothing to do with sexual preference (obviously), but is a condition in and of itself. I have also met a hetero man that likes to wear women’s underthings. He is not gay, but enjoys silky undergarments. I also know a born female that was a straight male – had a sex change and now he is mentally and biologically a straight male. I am a bisexual woman who enjoys her femininity, though I do blue collar work and don’t wear makeup
