Why do games get cancelled at the very last moment instead of earlier in the day?
a. Coaches are responsible for checking the web site or with a board member to determine whether games will be cancelled due to weather and then notifying their players. Weather changes quickly in this area. Our season is pretty compact, and every game cancelled during the week means a make up game somewhere during the remainder of the season. The league recognizes the time commitment that families have to give just to make regularly scheduled games. By canceling games at the last moment our hope is to alleviate the burden of additional games that would take away from the little free time the kids and their parents will have. We attempt to make a decision by 4 pm each game day.
