Why do freshwater fish float and saltwater fish sink when they die?

0

In order to survive in salt water the fish must have a high concentration of salt in it’s body in order to make sure that the salt in the surrounding wtaer does not diffuse into the fish. So when the fish dies it loses some bouyency and weighs more than the surrounding water due to its high salt content.
