Why do Filipino People Work abroad?
I have been here in United States for more than a year already and I have seen a lot of Filipinos residing in this place of what they call their dreamland. First time I came here I thought it was such an American dream come true for me, having my feet stepped on this land of opportunities. But I was wrong; it was actually the start of my misery and challenges. Most Filipinos here in U.S. work so hard to get by in life. They don’t care whatever jobs they do as long as there’s green money involved. They have overcome all the stress and hardship living here in this foreign land. There are many Filipino people overstayed here in U.S. for many years already with no legal papers at all. They do different kinds of under the table jobs which are mostly very hard and degrading for them. They are heroes because most of them do it for them to send money back home.
