Why do fathers hate paying child support?
This is such a good question. I think child support should be a law whereupon it is taken off their salary at point of pay out i.e. salary slip. I do believe some countries do that. I think the reason they don’t is many. First it could be that running their own household (which is now separate is double and they no longer have 2 incomes). I’d like to think it is that, but I think it is more about the anger they have towards their ex. Some wives (I will use female as sometimes it is men rearing children) squander the money too. I once had a friend who had a boob job with the lump sum she was paid for school fees. Of course most women don’t do that, they care about their kids, so perhaps the ex husband is thinking he is not in control of the money and cannot see where it’s going. I wish there were more controls in place for this, as so many women are battling to bring up their kids, and no one ever shouts at a man for leaving his kids behind, the least he could do is pay child support.
