My situation now with my husband almost ended up how yours is. I was convinced that things weren’t going to change and that I needed to leave. I told him I was leaving and that I was going to start looking for my own place. He just kept begging me to stay and promising that things will be different. I just felt so bad for him once he started crying and getting so upset, that I finally agreed to counseling. I do hope that this will help us and things have been different for the past 2 weeks. He is doing a lot more. We have also started talking a lot more and I really opened up to him especially since I thought I was leaving. My advice to you is just ask (or beg if you have to) her to give it one more chance and try counseling. Ask her to tell you every little thing that she is upset about or doesn’t like. The Bentleys have two daughters and a son, and are Canadian citizens. Under Canadian law, separation is a preliminary step in divorce proceedings, lasting nine months.
