Why do English hate French and Germans?

I don’t hate the French, then again I’m part French so maybe I’m slightly biased. My Grandmothers (one French, one English) loathe each other though. They were part of that generation that was still bitter about the war. The French did not save the English, they were captured and held under German influence, but they were allies with England. Fortunately that old hate is dying out in the new generations. The French hate the English at the moment because they keep fleeing Britain to buy their holiday homes which is pushing up the housing market in France and making the land too expensive, but that’s a whole other matter. Basically it’s an old rivalry from the days when England and France were sworn enemies constantly fighting wars and invading each other’s lands. I have never heard any hate towards the Germans and vice versa. We learn the history of Hitler and the Nazi’s in school but that’s it. It’s kind of an unspoken mutual agreement that neither side bring that up in either country.
