Why do Dogs Eat Their Own Stool?
Some dogs will eat their stool because they feel they are not getting enough nutrition in their diet. Maybe they are not being fed enough or maybe the quality of the food is low. Other dogs do it because of the way they were housebroken they may have gotten the impression the act of going to the bathroom all together was bad so they try and hide it. This is why it is important to train your dog properly and not ever hit a dog when housebreaking.
