Why do doctors and the people of the United States now have to fight for health freedoms?
Dr. Benjamin Rush, Surgeon General of George Washington’s Army and Signer of the Declaration of Independence, had this to say about medical freedom: “Unless we put medical freedom into the Constitution, the time will come when medicine will organize into an undercover dictatorship to restrict the art of healing to one class of men (conventional orthodox treatment) and deny equal privileges to others. All such laws are un-American and despotic and have no place in the republic. The Constitution of this republic should make special provisions for medical freedom as well as religious freedom.” What Dr. Rush feared has become reality and now the people are beginning to rebel.
