Why do divers need to shower after their turn?

0

They shower immediately after they come out of the pool because they have to keep their muscles warm. The temperature of the pool is about 80 degrees and the temperature of the air is about 68-72 degrees. So if the divers do not go into the showers right after their turn, their muscles would tighten and cramp up because of the temperature difference. Since the divers do more than one dive, they have to stay loosened and warmed up and avoid tightening and cramps.
