Why do different people find different things funny?
If a joke is attacking some group of people, maybe it can be a good laugh for others, but probably not for the target. Some people are very bad at laughing over themselves. Something very bad could have happened to you and the joke would have an association with it, so you could not possibly laugh. Anyway, it is good that there is a variety of reactions, because else life would be more boring.
