Why do dark colored shirts cost more than light colored shirts?
The dark or bright colored fabrics are treated to retain the color, so these shirts cost more from the factory. Then, for a quality print, there needs to be a white underbase under the design so the dye does not migrate through the ink. An alternative is to “double-down” on the ink. This means the design is printed, then flashed to set the ink, then print the design again to prevent the shirt dye from migrating through the ink.
