Why do cosmetics not have an expiration date?
Some old makeup can be contaminated. It may be wrong, but I ignore expiration dates..(serious I know Im not the only one!) I do however change out my sponges because i will break out if i dont. And I buy new foundation regularly. Here is a guideline, in case you want to ahere to the rules lol blush-6 months eye makeup-3 months lipstick- 1yr nail polish-2yrs.
Some of the makeup products have a expiration date, but everything depends on the time they are opened… There are diference in the products. -Cream products (Cream eyeliners, lipsticks, concealers,eyeliner pencils,etc) : You will have to discard them after a year. -Liquid products (mainly foundation,liquid eyeliners): From 6 to 8 months. -Mascara: Only 3 months. -Powder products(Eyeshadows, facial powders,blush,etc): You can keepthem from2 to 3 years. But remember : You have to sanitize your makeup products, Clean your makeup tools to avoid ellergies and infections.
