Why do conservatives generally oppose abortion…..?
As a Conservative, and someone who is pro-life I have to say that the reason why we oppose abortion is because, like it or not, it is murder. I don’t know if you have ever looked into what goes on in an abortion, but the procedure is too gruesome for me to put here. As a pregnant woman (20 weeks) to her first baby, my husband and I have been closely monitering our baby’s progress and there can be no doubt that a child, though weeks old in the womb, is still a person in their own right. The sex of the baby and the heartbeat can be detected at two weeks! Most women don’t even know they are pregnant by then! The issue of welfare can be combatted by stronger communities, and population control would not be such an issue if parents were more involved in their children’s lives (which also goes back to the community). Then there is also the inforcing of capital punishment. After all, there is a big differance between someone who had a life and used it to hurt or kill other people, and someone
