Why do Communist societies discourage the practice of religion?

0

Two reasons: First, all the worlds religions contain some from of MORAL teaching. Be kind to each other and what not. This is counter to Communism because teachings like that cause a populace to question how they are being treated by the government, that’s a big no-no in communism. Second, no matter where you go on this planet you will find that every culture has some form of JUSTICE which in normally based on some form of ancient moral teaching. In a communist society, the government must be allowed to commit crimes which the populace can’t, this creates a double standard in the justice system. So, a sense of morality or justice must not be allowed to exist in a communist country because the populace would overthrow the government-out of a sense of justice or morality. Under communism, the State must never be questioned because the State is never wrong.
