Why do colors appear more saturated in some computer screens?
For a variety of reasons colors across various computer screens will often look different. Normally the first experience with this is when viewing a website on a Mac verses a PC: the change in color here has to do with the screens “Gamma” setting. Somewhat for historical reasons, a PC’s Gamma setting is closer to that of a TV, more blue-ish than Mac’s. The Mac’s Gamma is set by default so that the colors you see on the screen will more closely match with print results in paper. Additionally, each display technology (CRT, LCD, LED) shows colors slightly differently.
