The Powder. The great skiing at Wolf Creek Ski Area is not the only thing to do during the winter, it’s just the best. Wolf Creek Ski Area boasts “the most snow in Colorado”. We built here over 10 years ago and we agree. When the rest of Colorado & New Mexico ski areas are suffering Wolf Creek is in good shape. If you are the adventurous type, winter also offers great options like ice climbing, snowmobiling, cross country skiing, and we suggest taking advantage of the Rio Grande National Forest. Looking for something more laid back? You can find it right around the cabin, in South Fork, and in nearby Creede or Pagosa Springs. Our favorite “end of the day” outing is Pagosa Hot Springs in the town of Pagosa Springs. Walk out the front door and find a ton of great things to do. Nothing beats a walk along the river.
