Why do COE churches often have graves of rich and influential people inside churches?
Because a large number of C of E Churches were payed for by rich influential people, and they insisted relatives were buried there. If you look at the history the Churches in England were often primarily financed by people that wanted to “buy their place in heaven. Also Royalty was believed to be appointed by God, up untill very recently.
