Why do Classic FM presenters change from time to time?
Like everybody else, presenters take holidays or other kinds of leave. Presenters themselves often choose to move on or seek career changes and new challenges. Sometimes they seek shift changes within ABC Classic FM and sometimes managers think a change is desirable. ABC Classic FM bears in mind the fact that listeners generally dislike change and balances that with individual circumstances. A unique characteristic of ABC Classic FM is that most of our presenters work alone, without studio teams, and it is very difficult indeed to maintain a successful broadcast persona year after year without variety in shift and program brief.
