Why do Christians visit a religious forum when they state that their faith is not a religion……?

Because most Christians, like other believers in a god or gods realize that any religious belief IS a religion. Some just don’t want to admit it, or some feel that the word “religion” means an organization of some sort. Mostly has only to do with maturity and acceptance of reality.

I am a Christian. And, it is with a great deal of hesitation that I admit this simply because the evangelicals and other Bible thumpers make us look so bad. And, I am really beginning to feel like I am in the minority here. Jesus lead by example. He was a really good man. He was open minded, fair, loving and accepting. He invited whores and tax collectors into his company and his notion that we should all just be nice to each other for a change kicked up the dander of a lot of people. In the end, it got him killed. If Christians want to witness to others, it’s not by posting insulting propaganda and diatribes thinly veiled as questions, it’s abiding by the Golden Rule and practising good ethics in their everyday activities. Frankly, many Christians embarrass me. Matthew 7:1 “Judge not, that ye be not judged.” One of my favorite Bible verses and one that most so-called Christians dutifully overlook because to put that into practice would mean they would have to hold themselves accountab

Because although many Christians believe that Christianity is a faith not a religion, the world generalizes it as a religion. Therefore if we are going to discuss our faith we will have to look on a “religious” forum.
