Why do Christians have no knowledge of the fact that most spiritual holidays are of Celtic origin?
Because they don’t want to know anything that disturbs them, like the fact that so many of their festivals were taken over from Celts and pagans to make it easier to convert them. That actually still rankles amongst the few remaining true Druids in the British Isles (I have a good friend who is one) and they really hate Christians for it – though being of a peaceful faith they live and let live. Hallowe’en is a fascinating one though – the popular associations of it bear hardly any relation to the Celtic festival of Samhain, which marks the end of the harvest and the slaughter of animals to provide meat for the winter. Satanists to some extent follow the same religious calendar as they have a very similar connection to the spiritual world.
