Why do Christians deny the age of the earth and its previous inhabitants?
Actually, besides from fossils to prove the age of the Earth, stars int he nightsky is already good evidence enough to prove that the Earth is more than 6000 years old. Most stars are like hundreds to billions of light years away, therefore takes that amount of time for light to reach Earth, the closest star takes approxminately 4 light years to reach Earth. I don’t see how the 6000 year old time frame can manage to suck that much stars. The hubble telescope can even see galaxies which is far more longer than our own galaxy.
I’m a Christian and I’m not denying that the earth can be older than 8000 years old. In fact the earth could have been older than 1 million years – the fact is that the bible does not go into much detail about the creation of the earth to the creation of man (adam and eve) the earth could have taken at least millions of years to evolve since the “big bang theory” which christians do not believe. But here is my view – if there was a big bang – I believe god was responsible – even the extinction of the dinosaurs.
