Why do Christians celebrate Halloween?

Probably for the same reason people with no religious preference celebrate Christmas.

Technically, Christians do not observe Halloween. The celebration of Halloween falls on the eve of All Saints Day, which is November 1st, hence the old tradition of dressing up in costume. Traditionally, children dressed up as one of the saints and were given candy and sweetened cakes as treats.

Chrisians not really celebrate Halloween in my opinion, at least i havent seen any celebrations for that. Now the last years the ‘trick or treating’ has come over from the states to hear, but now people do it just that the kids have a fun night, but here in europe it hardly get celebrated.

I am a Christian and I do not celebrate Halloween, myself. I do not think it is wrong or sinful for a Christian who does choose to celebrate the holiday, though. It is just a personal decision of my own for me not to celebrate the night.

Perhaps Christians who do don’t want to feel left out, even if they think that people who aren’t Christian shouldn’t celebrate Christmas. Disclaimer: This answer is not about ‘all’ Christians.
