Why do christians believe in God and how do you remain faithful?
Hi, Grace! I was once in a situation similar to yours. I was disallusioned about God and turned off by the church. I spent many years as an avowed atheist, verbally attacking and challenging Christians at every opportunity. In the end, I came to realize that I had nothing on my own. I realized that my atheism was nothing more than an excuse to cover my own need for God. I think I was afraid of how my life might change if God were real, so I refused to listen to those who told me about him. After an amazing “God experience”, too long to capture here, I started following Jesus Christ. It’s been an interesting ride with many ups and downs. I’ve had cool vistories and stunningdefeats where I’ve lapsed into old habits and behaviors. But, I’m happy to report, the progress has been ever so gradually upward! I’ve made good and bad choices. I’ve had to live with the consequences of my bad decisions. Following God doesn’t insulate me from that. But what following God has done is to have transfor
