Why do Catholics make the sign of the cross when they pass a church?
Well you will not find anything in scripture that tells us to make a sign of the cross or even that the cross is Christian. Actually the cross is not Christian but very pagan in nature – I guess we would have to remember who crucified Christ because it is the same that now claims the cross as Christian.
