Catholics believe that theirs is the one true Church of Jesus Christ because theirs is the only Christian Church that goes back in history to its founder, Jesus Christ. The only Christian Church in existence, post resurrection of Christ, was referred to as the Catholic Church as early as the year AD 100. All the other Christian churches were founded by mere mortals.
