Why do bulimic people not lose weight?

0

Bulimic people don’t lose weight because bulimia is characterized by a cycle of binging and purging. When binging, bulimics can eat more food in one sitting than most people eat in a day. When purging, they vomit, use laxatives, over-exercise or combine all 3 to rid themselves of the calories. However, you cannot purge more than 2/3s of your stomach’s contents, so they still end up intaking a huge amount from one binge. This is why most bulimics are in the normal or overweight categories. Hope this helped.
