Why do builders participate with the Preferred Home Buyers Alliance?
The short answer is that they participate because we direct informed buyers to them. The long answer is that The Alliance simplifies the selling process for builders by, first of all, saving them some up-front marketing costs. In addition, when The Alliance refers a potential buyer to the builder’s site, we give the builders sales representative enough information about the prospective buyer’s needs that the builders representative can do research ahead of time in order to make an effective presentation. This means the home-hunter is more likely to buy. This efficiency and the saved marketing dollars mean that the builder can justify giving The Alliance an advisory fee.
