Why do boys mostly start puberty later than girls do?
Boys and girls are different, through out childhood and into adolescence, girls are usually more mature, also girls go through more noticeable physical changes then boys do. On average a girl starts puberty between 10.5- 11.5, but it can occur as early as 8 or as late as 13/14 in some girls. For boys most start at around 12.5, but it can occur as early as 10 or as late as 15 in some boys.
