From a Black woman – Black artists are outselling White artists because hip hop, a genre created and dominated by blacks, is currently the most popular genre of music. Many genres somehow integrate hip hop into their music. From Rock to Pop to Country – they all have used some form of hip hop. Honkeytonk Badonkadonk, a country song that makes reference to a woman’s booty. The word “badonkadonk” was 1st used in a hip hop song (I think Keith Murray said it). Limp Bizkit, Christina Aguilera, N’Sync, Pussycat Dolls, and numerous other pop singers and groups have done songs featuring rappers, which has allowed hip hop to crossover to other cultures. White people (especially the young) are as much into hip hop as Black people, therefore, black artists and their music have cornered the market. On the flip side, there may be a few pop, alternative, or some other genre of songs that we may listen to here and there, but overall, almost everything we listen to is some form of hip hop.
