Why do Beethovens songs remembered ill today?

Beethoven is not unique. There are many of the so called classical composers whose music is remembered today. Many of the pop musicians through many recent decades have used small pieces of music composed originally hundreds of years ago. At the core of this is the fact that quality and good music will live on through time. I fully expect a number of the best pop composers of today will be grouped alongside the greats. Not all the greats were born in the same era. Beethoven 1770-1827, Tchaikovski 1840-1893, Vivaldi 1678 – 1741 to name but a few.
