I am a drummer too and usually sheet music is the farthest thing from my mind… Buddy Rich was a god but he couldn’t read music. I guess it is a form of royalties to charge for sheet music. I believe that they encourage new musicians but moreso to invent new music rather than profit off covers. Personally if I could make enough income off album, concert, and sheet music, etc sales… I would stop going to my job.
