WHY DO BABY TEETH FALL OUT?

0

People get two sets of teeth in their lifetime. The first set is referred to as “baby teeth” and the second set is often called “adult teeth”. As “baby teeth” grow, they need to be replaced with bigger, stronger teeth to keep up with the growing body. As you grow and get bigger, so does your mouth. There will come a time when the “baby teeth” no longer fit in your mouth. Teeth are attached to the jawbone through their roots. Without roots, teeth would have no way of staying secured in the mouth. Keep this in mind as you read why “baby teeth” fall out. When the adult tooth is ready to come in, it will release a chemical will dissolve the root of the “baby tooth” that it will replace. Without roots, the tooth is no longer anchored to the jawbone. It will then loosen and fall out! Adult teeth will last much, much longer than “baby teeth”. They should not fall out for many, many years!
