Why do artificial nails yellow?
Yellowing depends on many factors. Usually it happens in case of acrylic nails, after sunbathing in solarium, using tanning balms or simply when peeling off an orange or other citrus fruits. If it has already happened, we may deal with it as following: Varnish removal (even if it was transparent varnish), gentle nail filing (file of medium granulation available in any drug store), afterwards apply a new coat of varnish. This action will renew nail look and improve their esthetics. Products, that we use, have UV filter (so-called absorber), thanks to which nails do not get yellow under the influence of sunlight.
