Why do Arab Countries contribute so little to Human Developments?
Too many current and former world powers have been messing with Muslim countries for more than a century, beginning with some of them being in the British Empire and some national boundaries being redrawn after World War I. Combine that with the fact that Islam is going through a rough time–various factions have been fighting bitterly amongst themselves as to whose version of Islam is “correct”; this has been going on for decades. Between the political and social upheavals, they have not been able to put any energy towards scientific or cultural advancements.
