Why do applications that use ADOCE fail on Windows Mobile 5.0?

0

ADOCE was deprecated in the Pocket PC 2003 SDK and is no longer supported or included in the ROM of Pocket PC devices. For backwards compatibility, the ADOCE runtime and ActiveSync service provider will be made available as a download. However, this runtime is not expected to be compatible with future versions of Windows Mobile, so developers are advised to target EDB or SQL Mobile 3.0 for applications that run on Windows Mobile 2003 or later.
