I agree with what you are saying to an extent. I’m Irish and I identify with British humour, besides my own country’s humor, I love the British humour. And even thought I’m not a fan of reality television, those shows were amazing because everyone was talking about them, they were so popular and so successful. But you know that our cultural senses of humor tend to clash, and basically we love seeing our own kind in these types of shows…so what do we do? We create our own version! Just like Americas Next Top Model is now being broad casted in Britain as Britain’s Next Top Model…same goes for My Super Sweet Sixteen UK too (sorry, bad choice of programmes but you get my point) Father Ted is comedy gold in Ireland but was never successful in America.
