Why do Americans have such a bad reputation?
We’re an easy target, we’re a big country with lots of people, and we’re a very big player on the world scene, and most know they can say what they want about us and we won’t do anything about it. Plus we’re one of the few nationalities in the world where people can say anything negative about us and they won’t get called a bigot, as it seems to be kinda attractive to rip on Americans for whatever reason. Look at some of the things on here said about us Americans, and replace them with the word “Chinese”, “Mexican”, “Indian” or “African” and most would call them out on it and say that it’s a bigoted thing to say. But with Americans, what you’ll probably get are a lot of people who agree with them, and have no qualms about doing so. I’m willing to guess that most of these people would consider themselves open minded and courteous of other people from other parts of the world.
