Why do all parents have to volunteer to help out their athletes team?
Parent participation is crucial to the overall success of the season. For parents who cannot commit to volunteering during the season you can opt out and make a one time payment of $200 to offset the organizations potential expense to meet the requirements to safely and successfully run the program. We need the assistance of participants’ parents in a wide variety of activities ranging from announcing to photographing the games. In an attempt to provide parents with a sense of what each role entails, please read the following list of Team Volunteer Job Descriptions and talk to your athlete’s team coach to volunteer: • Team Parent (all season) – The team parent is the coach’s “right-hand” and runs all of the volunteer efforts. This can include pizza parties, get-together’s, fund-raising events, etc. The team parent coordinates all of the volunteers at least a week before each game and confirms with a telephone call the day before each game. • MPR or Play Mandatory Play Requirement (all
