Why do all anti-immigration arguments just seem to be stereotypical racist attacks?
I haven’t read anything on here that says “I hate foreigners”. I’ve seen people posting coherent arguments like “there are currently too many EU migrants coming here which is having a negative affect on in-work training and wage levels” and immediately being jumped on by 10 communists as being “Racist and Xenophobic” however. Whats racist about that statement? Racism is attacking another RACE and claiming your own is superior. Saying you feel that too many EU migrants are coming here is not “racist” because you are not saying anything about their race. Jeez, buy a dictionary!! You people need to stop with the knee-jerk reactions and actually LISTEN for a change, you might learn something. And yes I do understand how the economy works – large scale migration averts a situation of full employment, keeping wage levels down which is good for business but bad for workers, especially the young. Many migrants consume as much as they contribute and send money out of the country where it exits
This is not an anti-immigration argument – it is an illegal alien issue that is at hand. I simply resent people who don’t follow the rules. I work hard to make a life for myself and my family in my country. I worry about what will be available for my children because we are supporting (medicaid, schooling, etc.) people who do not even contribute to the systems that they utilize. We have a legal immigration system. If people want to come into this wonderful country and live the “American Dream” they should do it legally by following the proper channels. My feelings have nothing to do with disliking a group of people – it is a deep resentment because they are breaking the law by coming here illegally. When someone comes into the country illegally, it is a slap in the face to the people who are following the legal route – what is fair about that?
The reason they seem to be stereotypical racist attacks is because that’s exactly what they are. The so called arguments against immigration being used today are in fact the same tired and worn out ones used years ago. Even Hitler’s arguments were pretty much the same in essence. Economic and social bullshit to stir up fear and hatred. Basically rubbish put about by people who lack knowledge, understanding or any kind of concern for their fellow citizens.
That’s exactly what they are “racist stereo typical arguments”. They just want them out regardless of how much they contribute to the country. When they read a report of ONE illegal immigrant doing something bad, they are quick to make a generalization on the entire race. Some even make up stories that are out online to make them look bad when they are really hard working, humble family people. I’ve posted a couple of those stories.
Liberals like you just like all anti immigration arguements to be racist. God forbid anyone actually coming up with a constructive answer. I have travelled extensively around the world and experienced many cultures, but in regards to immigration in the Uk and Europe there is certainly problems which simply stem from poorer countries with a ‘if i go here i can get more’ mentality.
