Why do adults ridicule retarded people, despite the maturity they are supposed to have accumulated in growing up?
My first impulse is to present you with the startling news that some adults are simply jerks. Hard to believe, isn’t it? Some are just determined to slither thru life, insidiously spreading enough heartache and angst to pave the way for half the human race to slide down the treacherous slopes of anger, retribution and declarations of war, into the nether-regions of hell before the other half even notices they’re gone. You wonder WTF is wrong with people. Some are crazy. Others barely possess the brainpower God gave a goat. They just don’t get how cold and callous it is to ridicule almost anyone, including mentally and physically challenged people. The exception would be a few well-known public figures, and certain officials in the U.S. government, who apparently enjoy the attention. . Or, how about the obnoxious adults who realize it’s bad, sort of, but do it anyway? They see it as “cute”, so other people must see “cute” too.
