Why do a geography degree at Leeds University?
When I started my degree in Geography (BA) in 2003, I had pretty much no idea what I wanted to do after I graduated. Then, after I’d worked hard for three years, found some amazing friends and had a lot of fun, I completed my course in May 2006. Since I graduated, I have started a job as an Analyst with Accenture, an I.T. and management consultancy firm specialising in I.T. solutions delivery. Going from a geography degree to a job in I.T. might seem a bit strange, but my degree has prepared me well for starting my career with Accenture. It’s all about transferable skills- especially analysis, numeracy, report-writing and project management.
