Why do 99% of poker players on Absolute/Ultimate bet play Jackpot tables?
Ultimate Bet and Absolute Poker have been associated with cheating by employees who had special versions of the program that allowed them to see all of the player’s cards. The Kahnawake Gaming Commission, which regulated these sites, did an investigation and found that a number of people (including one founder of Ultimate Bet, Russ Hamilton) were involved in this scam. In my opinion, people who play at Ultimate Bet tend to be more ignorant than people who play at other sites because they either don’t know about the scandal or they believe it won’t happen again. It stands to reason that they don’t appreciate skill and would enjoy the thrill of a non-skill based game.
