• The 2000 election created the Western Elmore County Recreation District. The 2000 election provided the WECRD a mandate to construct a multi-purpose indoor recreation center. The 2000 election did NOT provide money to build with. The Directors, appointed by the governor, then had to decide how to raise funds to build.
