Why didn the Beatles continue as a band and let the members still record solo albums?

0

By the time The Beatles broke up in 1970, they had been playing together for thirteen years. The band’s “style” had changed radically from “She Loves You” to “Hey Jude” and Paul and John were all but at each other’s throats. It wasn’t a matter of continuing as a band. You really can’t stay in a band when you no longer LIKE each other. Just as they got sick of each other, their manager died, and their finances got all screwed up. Then, both Paul and John got married (Ringo and George had already been married for several years) and it just wasn’t a band anymore…. It was over.
