Why didn retailers know about the EKC Power Savings Event in advance?
Retailers were notified about the Every Kilowatt Counts Power Savings Event as soon as it was confirmed and have been preparing months in advance for it to hit the marketplace. This does not mean that all of the staff at all of the stores will be aware of the Program or its details. There are over 800 stores participating in the 2008 Fall Every Kilowatt Counts Power Savings Event, and each has tens, if not hundreds, of employees.
