Why didn Dunninger associate with magicians?
In his early years, Dunninger was very involved in the magic community and belonged to many magical organizations. He published his inventions frequently in magic magazines. Once he switched to performing primarily as a mentalist, Dunninger broke his visible ties with the magic community. His managers felt that visible ties would make audiences think his mental powers weren’t real.
