Why did you think in the band ramones johnny didnt talk to joey when he was dying?
Sometimes its hard for people to make the first move in situations like this – it’s often viewed as an admission of weakness to be the first to make a move of reconciliation. Joey hardly talked to Johnny for ten years before his death. From what I can tell, Joey wasn’t interested in making up with Johnny. In addition Johnny was apparently not the easiest person to get along with, rather stubborn and abrasive. I don’t think Joey ever forgave Johnny for ‘stealing’ his girlfriend and Joey was probably the type of person to say, ‘Yeah well stuff you!’ The two had little in common apart from being in the Ramones – even politically they were diametrically opposed, Johnny being a very Right-wing Republican and Joey favouring a far more liberal viewpoint (which is why some think that the song ‘The KKK Took My Baby Away’ was Joey’s way of having a pop at Johnny).
